Membership

We welcome potential new members who are interested in gaining knowledge and sharing their experiences as a professional in our field. Membership is limited to persons who are serving in a managerial capacity within a psychiatry group actively engaged in the service, teaching, and research of psychiatry in an academic setting. Members benefit from a very active email list, two educational conferences in fall and spring, access to robust benchmarking surveys, and a variety of tools and resources to ensure success as an academic administrator in behavioral health.

Membership dues are based on the calendar year, and are presently $175. Dues are billed after the membership application is accepted and annually thereafter. You can pay online, or mail a check.

If you are already a member, make sure you are signed up for the AAP Google Groups listserv. You will need to create a google account using the same email address used for AAP membership [pdf instructions], and then request an invitation.
